First Day Out after Chicken Pox

Well, maybe we did over do it a little, but it was fun:  Co-op in the morning, lunch in the car, two hours at the library, then a tour of the new farm where we will be CSA members, now home.  K is asleep in her car seat capsule, M and B are negotiating which video to watch (who says homeschooled kids lack opportunities to develop social skills in semi adversarial situations?) and I really, really need to start supper.
The lady who is starting up the CSA is a berry hybridizer.  So we will be getting berries of all colors, including Elderberries, which my mom has been looking for for years to make grandma’s jelly with!  We almost harvested berries from the bush growing in the 10 mile river, but we know how contaminated it is, even if it does silt over, if the roots go down deep, don’t they reach the gunk?  So now we don’t need to be tempted any more by questionable berries!
So, now, off to the kitchen to throw some chili together- wait the left over split pea soup is in the stock pot, if I have to do dishes and put leftovers in the freezer, maybe I need another meal plan.
