Friday: drove 8 hours with lots of stops to Houghton where my cousin arranged for us to rent a flat for the weekend. The kids slept well after a long walk around campus.
Saturday: my cousin’s wedding (beautiful! pictures coming later)
Sunday: Packed the car, drove to Uncle’ E’s church in Waverly in time for morning service.
Monday: hiked in Robert H. Treman State park along the gorge by the waterfall. I demonstrated using a pizza peel and stone at dinner, Mom declared that it was Summer now, because we had wonderful water melon for desert. Uncle E did some magic tricks for the boys at bedtime.
Tuesday: drove the last 6 hours home listening to the new cds from Aunt M, unpacked, ate left over chicken and rice from the wedding (I froze a zip lock full in Houghon)
Wednesday (today): Boy do I need to get groceries! I’ll just clean out the fridge first, something smells evil. At 6:58AM our friend Ch knocked on the door, she was so cold from her job of collecting bottles, we gave her some tea, she didn’t want any breakfast. M had eggs, he was disappointed that we were out of katsup. Boy do I need to get groceries.
