Sunny Day at the Park

We got all our kitchen table work done Thursday morning – I’m serving as M’s ammanuensis for math work, so he doesn’t have to fill in the little Miquon squares.

At 11, we phoned Daddy at work, to let him know that lunch would be at the park, packed our PBJs, apples and water, and drove over. B sat on the stone wall and drew possible future Pokemon.  K climbed the tall structure, and M made friends with a group of boys his size.

DH helped K get into the little kid’s swing, where she appropriated his hat,

I got some knitting in during all this, I’m working on the Blue Footed Booby Socks.

Then the kids chased each other through the rose garden – mostly staying out of the flower beds, though roses do defend themselves.

We dropped B off at the middle school for band rehearsal, and came home for nap time.  K (of course) just played in her crib, but M conked right out.  His appetite is up too, I think he’s growing.

  1. It sounds like a lovely day! I wish– well, lots of things! I wish we could draw future Pokemon with you. I wish we could picnic with you! And I wish I could manage to get ANY knitting done out at the park.

    Blessings,
