A discussion on Ravelry convinced me that I needed to update the Horizontal Chain Pattern – at least give the poor chart a key!

The last two steps of the key got cut off: a blank square is a knit stitch, and a missing square is a place holder; the stitch count varies from row to row. Basically, a missing stitch is just NOT THERE.
