We’ve said hi for years, she asked me not to let my son dig up her lilac bush’s roots from our side of the fence with friendly grace. But today was the first time I got a phone call asking for 2 tsp of baking soda.
You know you are getting to be friends with your neighbors when you lend out baking soda.

None of my neighbours have ever asked me for anything – but one neighbour did ask me to stop my kids from throwing rocks in their pool. Maybe they’ll borrow something next time! I’ll keep my fingers crossed :).
Yes, rocks and lilac roots…they think of creatively naughty things to do faster than I can tell them not to do them!
