How do I keep track of lessons…and Homeschool?

When B was my only student, he had a pocket chart on the wall.

When we added M to the official list (not just the play doh, math manipulatives, listen to music, go on walks with us, get read to twice a day, and count stuff list) I was grateful for the Pre-schooler’s and Peace suggestion of Circle Time, because with a 5 year gap between each child, it’s fun to discover that you can combine anything.

B’s pocket chart went mini.

M is not quite as concerned as B used to be about exactly in what order he does his lessons.  If my voice is tired from Circle Time, and I give him handwriting or math pages to practice with – he’s OK.  I may have to calm him down if they get stressful (Pencils are EVIL!) but the order is not important to him.

I keep the logic book, catechism, hymnal, history book and M’s lesson books in one big canvas bag.

Jimmie gave me the idea with her bookmarks, I put a few tags (made on my nifty birthday present) with lists of what I need to do each week in the different times – that way I know I didn’t skip something.

Oh yikes, does that say poetry on the oval?  I need to print some more off Ambleside Online…
