Keeping my Carpal Tunnels happy

I crocheted two skeins of yarn yesterday.  My hands feel twangy today.  I’m going to try to work in short bursts today, wear my rather worn out splints in the mean time, and hold the crochet hook in different positions – though I find the pencil grip a bit slow.  On the other hand, once I get numb, I drop stitches anyway, so that makes the efficiency drop on the knife grip.  I have a sleeve and half back to go before tomorrow so I can block it and mail it on Friday.

This all does remind me of when Dr Dominguez in Chicago asked me if I was a bit obsessive about knitting in college.  When I admitted to 50 sweaters in the last 5 years, he remarked that that sounded obsessive to him.

Next time I’ll go for more time on the sample deadline,  make something smaller or hire a sample crocheter – I’m already training the kids, animaguri are really intriguing, and if they learn how to do it themselves, they can have any toy they can find a pattern for or design.
