My Grandma Williams bought me an annuity from the American Bible Society, so that each year on approximately my half year birthday, I would receive a little mad money. She wanted me to know that she knew that I had a half birthday as well as being born on Christmas, and that Bibles were very important.
This year I got a thick letter saying that the program is really un-weildy to administer, and that I could have the rest of the payment in a lump sum, or donate it back to them . Now, I’m sure Grandma would want me to donate the rest back to the society – but part of me would just like to see which option has less paperwork and do that one.
Off to pay bills and donate money to the American Bible Society.
Or maybe she would want you to buy each of your children books and
Bibles because books were VERY important to her. I loved her bookshelves!!
