Sunday afternoon notes

The light flickers through the oaks on Fairview drive right into my eyes on the way to Sunday School.

Mom was trying to decide what desert to make Sunday afternoon when she noticed how many of the cookies I’d brought over for her had disappeared and announced “All right!  I’m making a jelly roll: outta my cookies: NOW!”

When we drive to church in the evenings, K sings about, “Cha RIS si mus lights.”  M used to sing about, ” ‘i cus trees.”
