Old Sturbrige Village last Wednesday

We just buy an annual pass plus one – because it’s about the same price for the 5 of us to get in once anyway.  Anyone want to go to Old Sturbridge Village with us?  As long as we are there too, one person gets in free.  I have two one time only get a friend in passes also.

the pump on the green is handy for times when M and K need to take turns vigorously, and Dan and I want to sit down on a bench for a while.  Of course, taking turns can get…

I’d never watched a cooper at work before, he’s planing a (don’t know the technical term) spoke? of a short apple basket to get the angle correct.  He had curved draw knives for the rounded parts.  There were curly wood shavings swept into the corner, he said they were great for fire starting.

The most fun about a spring visit is the baby animals.  These piglets were large, but they liked getting their backs scratched, especially by the rear hips, just like dogs.

When I sank my hand into the fleece, it went the whole depth of my hand, it was so warm in there.

We ate our traditional cookies, fudge and coffee, bought some books (at a deep member’s discount – some for Christmas presents shhh). Ate our hogie sandwiches and apples, then drove  home before the traffic from Worcester got heavy.  So pleasant and kid-friendly, such a nice day.
