Hurricane Gardening

Dan got up early to buy milk, bread and tuna.  We have candles and library books and board games, we also have neighbor kids because their school is closed, so power out boredom is not too scary.

Dahlias on the porch

I cut all the flowers off my dahlias,  then dug up the tubers and put them in the back hall closet in paper bags.

K noticed that there were bees in the flowers who were beginning to move in the warm kitchen air; So I put them all on the porch.  Time to start homeschool, I’ll ask my friend the beekeeper if those are homeless drones or lost workers; I’m curious about them, but not really ready to share the warm kitchen with them.
