Since I haven’t graded Ben’s 9th grade yet, I haven’t determined exactly when we are “Starting the New Year.” Most likely after next weekend as we have a family funeral, and we’ll be hosting some relatives. Both M and K have been working on their own projects.
I was also working on a project: end of the month balancing checkbook, budget, and paying bills, then re-adjusting budget. One really nice part is that we now have a “sinking fund” for homeschool stuff, so I’m setting aside money each month to cover field trips, text books, stationary supplies (and library fines). So next year, the big buy the books in July won’t mean we are pinched and cranky in July…theoretically.
Oh, if this works, an easy blog topic for next summer, sweet!
