How did I do that?

The other morning, K was lamenting how boring a school day is (partly because it hadn’t started  yet, she’s eager and joyful once things start happening.)  Perhaps it was the anticipation that the afternoon would be errands, not a trip to the zoo, or WWI Park in North Attleboro.

I tried listing our options, and reminding her that the sooner we stopped arguing and complaining, the sooner we’d get our work done, when the next thing I knew, she had my face in her hands, and she was stroking my brow.

“Don’t worry Momma, we’ll figure this out.” She crooned.  Then she skipped down the hall to take care of whatever the boring thing was she hadn’t wanted to do a few minutes before.

How did that happen, and is it possible to replicate it?
