First Day Out after Chicken Pox

Posted on March 28, 2008 by Christinethecurious

Well, maybe we did over do it a little, but it was fun:  Co-op in the morning, lunch in the car, two hours at the library, then a tour of the new farm where we will be CSA members, Continue reading First Day Out after Chicken Pox→

Schooling around the Baby, now we are done with Chicken Pox.

Posted on March 27, 2008 by Christinethecurious

I’m feeling my way towards a system.  There are tasks I can only do with both  hands (like take a shower and cook diner).  These things happen when K is napping, being held by someone else, or lying on Continue reading Schooling around the Baby, now we are done with Chicken Pox.→

Homeschool Advice

Posted on March 26, 2008 by Christinethecurious

I wonder if we all give advice to counterbalance our own habits.      For instance, I love order, structure, and plans, when I can get them!  Does that mean my house is clean?  No, but I can find things.  Continue reading Homeschool Advice→

Posted on March 25, 2008 by Christinethecurious

Posted on March 22, 2008 by Christinethecurious

I’ve been intrigued lately by the idea of making up a menu based on what foods are available, not the other way around, as a way of eating more seasonally.       That seems to be a Chinese way of Continue reading Improvisational Menue→

Quarentine update

Posted on March 18, 2008 by Christinethecurious

Baby K has 9 spots now, she had 5 yesterday.  No fever yet, which is encouraging.   On M’s second day of spots, he voluntarily took a nap, so I know that he felt miserable.  We are watching her carefully, Continue reading Quarentine update→

Various Scarlet Pimpernel Movies

Posted on March 17, 2008 by Christinethecurious

I have just remembered a nice thing about the young baby months: my husband and I get so wired with interrupted sleep that we wind up watching videos together to laugh about.  Having just finished reading the Scarlett Pimpernel Continue reading Various Scarlet Pimpernel Movies→

Posted on March 10, 2008 by Christinethecurious
