M’s Elevator

Posted on April 30, 2011 by Christinethecurious

It works better on the downward trip, the duplo connection disconnects when trying to lift the box.  Stairs are good for lego guys too I guess.

Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real

Posted on April 28, 2011 by Christinethecurious

Pretty I love the tulips with the emerging peony stalks. Happy B successfully potted on his seedlings. K drew her first symbolically representational face – it’s a dinosaur with hair and a happy face.  It took me 9 shots to Continue reading Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real→

Pleased with the Bunny Trails

Posted on April 27, 2011 by Christinethecurious

In the last month, we have had a sickness that took 2 weeks to leave us, and a vacation.  The kids had more free time than usual, and I was pleased with how they chose to use it. B got Continue reading Pleased with the Bunny Trails→

Right now

Posted on April 21, 2011 by Christinethecurious

I’m in the moment before my company comes in the door.  The house smells of salad, spic and span, and camphor (extra blankets came out of Great Grandma’ Chinese Chest).  The house is so clean, I feel like washing the Continue reading Right now→

And they were still Behaving after my Break

Posted on April 19, 2011 by Christinethecurious

I handed the “Thinking Toolbox” to B to read to M, I was charmed when I returned from the bathroom. I know that M is supposed to be to young for this, but he can point out logical fallacies in Continue reading And they were still Behaving after my Break→

Great to be back in Co-op

Posted on April 16, 2011 by Christinethecurious

My week and a half of sick kids (and sick self) was officially over yesterday.  I got to teach my own co-op class, see friends, and even drive my friend-who-took-my-kids-to-co-op-while-housebound’s kids to co-op because she was sick.  It’s rare to Continue reading Great to be back in Co-op→

Soft Boiled Eggs AKA “Eggies in shell wi’ ‘poon!”

Posted on April 14, 2011 by Christinethecurious

Sunday morning, three year old K tried very hard, with her vocabulary frustrating her, to tell me that she wanted a soft boiled egg.  I’d never eaten one, let alone cooked one, but after tears, pantomime, and M translating I Continue reading Soft Boiled Eggs AKA “Eggies in shell wi’ ‘poon!”→

Walk at Larson Purchase

Posted on April 12, 2011 by Christinethecurious

M and K seem to run more when we go to the land trust path than on the playground. I was hoping to photograph the male wood duck we saw a week ago, but perhaps he’s busy now –  I Continue reading Walk at Larson Purchase→

Homeschool planning process

Posted on April 9, 2011 by Christinethecurious

I have 15 weeks left in this school year – because we school year round.  Last Summer when I broke the year up into rough sixths, I kind of skimped on the time at the end.  I think because it’s Continue reading Homeschool planning process→
