imitators, like dearly loved children

Yesterday at Grandma’s house, K watched B and Daddy read comics, show each other the pages, and laugh.  So she picked up Grandma’s little sudoco puzzle collection book, brought it to grandma and me, pointed to pages, and laughed.  Of course when she showed her ‘comic’ to me, I was asleep and did not wake understanding the joke, but anyway.

At lunch she sat in her high chair next to Daddy.  When his shoulder massage/head scratch turned into a tickle session, she started chair dancing in imitation.

This morning she brought one of her Carl boardbooks to my bed.  She handed me the book saying, ‘Gootta Goota Goggy."  (translation: goody, goody the doggy book. Would you read it to me please Mom?’)

Of course, I did ‘read’ it to her.  She read some to me too, it has only got words printed on the first and last pages, but that did not stop her from reading it to me.  Lots of inflections, and a few more consonants than last week.
