It doesn’t matter WHEN we do our lessons

Yeah!  I finished laying out the next 1/6 of homeschool on Monday. I have yet to solve completely the Dawdling Mom Problem, nor the really long shower of B problem, but DH reassured me, it doesn’t matter when they do their lessons.  They can still learn after nap time, morning is not magic.

So, I’m crafting a schedule that works with these late sunrises, one that I can live with.

Meanwhile, M has been waking up to math facts and integrating them with his own made up word problems.  He loves infinity, that makes responding to his challenges a bit tricky.  I think little boy word problems are a bit like little boy jokes; a bit too full of dynamite and action.  But, fortified with my experience with B, I’ll gird up my loins, settle my stomach, and be thankful that he’s waking up to math.

  1. It doesn’t matter what time of day or what age the child is as long as they are exposed to numbers and their relationships. That is one reason moms choose to homeschool. They know their children much better than the teachers who must keep up with those children whose mothers won’t care enough to devoter their life to them. Keep doing what I always wish I had done.
