And I forgot my camera

Last night Ben’s band played in the Attleboro High School Winter Concert, and my first cousin once removed Martha and her husband Warren came to hear it.  I hadn’t seen her in 35 years or so, since she babysat me while studying at Nyack College, but she reads my blog and sends my kids goodies, like Ben’s holed flute which he played last night being one of them.

Warren, as it turns out, makes chocolates.  Extremely good ones. And grows hot peppers. Ben and he had a nice chat about that.  His family doesn’t eat the peppers anymore than mine does, but Warren has found a Thai restaurant to use them, so they have a good home.  Perhaps someday Ben will find a restaurant that needs his. Cousin Martha gave us some home canned green beans, and blueberry pie filling, as well as a tote bag full of games, fancy pens, books and notebooks.

It was a lot like Christmas, and I forgot my camera.
