I should have gotten political sooner; my state has been in the process of passing a budget that will give a lot of grants to special interest groups. I did nothing. Meanwhile, big cuts are coming to the money that gets sent back to local governments. My town will have to cut a policeman, a fireman (possibly cutting an ambulance) and reduce staff and hours at the LIBRARY!
How can I make it through Summer if the LIBRARY gets hours cut? If it looses certification and I can’t get books interlibrary loan? Right now I can interlibrary loan a book from about 50 libraries, FOR FREE, from my home computer over the internet, as fast as a book I bought from Amazon would come. FOR FREE!
