Writing Practice

I keep this blog for many reasons, but the original one is writing practice.  If I write a little bit daily then the fear of the blank page, the fear I will spell something wrong, use the wrong homophone, word something awkwardly, dissipates. (And hey, if I get to re-read it later, and use it as a scrapbook, what a lovely benefit.)

There are lots of things I want to write.  Lots of things I have to write.  It’s good to be familiar with the keyboard.

B is working through writing woes this year.  His mechanics are improving (they had no other option).  But he does not seem to have any joy in it.  Perhaps I’ve only given him negative feedback.

His actual words were, “Mom, if I’m late or make a mistake, you lose it.”

So, tomorrow, I will…be gracious.
