Fragments

I e-mailed my paperwork to the school system this year – another experiment in lazy convenience, I wonder if they will loose it?  There are new personnel in all the ages I report, so the pattern I’m used to is interrupted anyhow.  If I get a note that they haven’t heard from me, it will be easy to print it all and regular mail it.

I tried a blueberry buckle last night – it worked gf! Though we had to finish it for breakfast this AM, with the xanthan gum, it was pulling in moisture from the air, something we have a lot of in this humidity.

Our car in in the shop today, so our friends are coming here this afternoon to play games, instead of us going there.  The kids tidied up the house while I was at swimming.

Ben has already left for band rehearsal this morning.

In my morning swim, I accidentally goosed the guy swimming in the next lane.  I was doing the water bug back stroke and trying not to bang into the lady I shared a lane with.  We all pretended it didn’t happen.

I haven’t yet finalized my ideas for the Into to Christian Missions class I’m to teach in co-op this September.

I haven’t finalized my 10min telling of Noah’s Ark with salvation message for the Family Fun Fair on August 10.  Dan is beating me, he’s already planned his maze and he’s recruiting Ben’s friends to help him set it up, grilled meat and watermellon may or may not have been part of the recruitment strategy.  So far birthday parties and vacation plans are in the way though.

If I could magically plan next year as a catchup year, I’d have us start in August, and end in June.  Because folks are happier to drop by in July, we may as well work through August.  But how I’ll get from ordering books in August and starting in September I don’t know.  Chasing friends down is tricky no matter what, but turning friend down to finish school is depressing.
